Safety & Community Guidelines

Keep team spaces respectful and safe.

These guidelines apply to chats, event chats, Team Events and RSVPs, profiles, announcements, training notes, photos, videos, recordings, and other content shared through ReelSports Gymnastics.

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Emergency notice: ReelSports reporting and email support are not emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authority.

Respect people

Do not bully, harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, discriminate against, impersonate, or organize abuse against another person.

Protect children

Never share sexual content involving minors, solicit inappropriate contact, expose private athlete information without authority, or use team/event information to facilitate unsafe contact.

Keep it team-appropriate

Do not post explicit sexual content, graphic violence, hate speech, scams, spam, or content unrelated to legitimate team or invited-event activity.

Community rules

Treat people with respect

Communicate professionally and constructively. Disagreements do not justify abusive language, threats, retaliation, or targeted humiliation.

Protect private information

Do not post home addresses, passwords, payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, private contact information, medical records, or media you do not have permission to share. Limit information about minors to what is necessary for legitimate team operations or the specific invited event.

Use Team Events responsibly

Team Events may contain dates, attendance information, and locations such as a restaurant or private gathering place. Invite only appropriate team members, use the guest-list visibility setting intentionally, and do not redistribute a child's attendance status or event location outside the intended audience without appropriate permission.

Record and upload responsibly

Use Remote Video Device Mode and Local Recording only when you have appropriate authority to record and share the gymnast or activity. Do not use ReelSports recording tools for covert, invasive, sexual, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate recording. Respect venue rules and applicable consent requirements.

Keep content appropriate

Do not share sexual or exploitative material, graphic violence, hate or discriminatory content, fraudulent solicitations, malware, spam, or content designed to evade moderation. Automated or server-side safeguards may reject content or actions that appear to violate ReelSports rules.

Use team data responsibly

Do not download, copy, publish, or redistribute team photos, videos, rosters, scores, event details, RSVP lists, or private communications outside the intended team/event context without appropriate permission. Having download access in the app does not grant permission to republish content elsewhere.

Reporting a concern

Use the in-app Report option on supported messages, member profiles, announcements, training notes, photos, and videos. Available report reasons include child safety, bullying or harassment, threats or violence, inappropriate or sexual content, hate or discrimination, privacy concerns, spam or scams, and other concerns.

For supported content, Report and Hide can immediately hide the item from your own view while preserving information needed for review. The reported person is not told who submitted the report.

If the concern involves a Team Event or event chat and no dedicated Report action appears on that screen, report the relevant supported message/member when available or contact Safety Support with the season, event name, approximate date, and a concise description.

Include enough information to locate and understand the concern, but do not add unnecessary private information about a child. Do not email passwords, payment-card numbers, or government identification numbers.

Blocking

Blocking is a personal communication control. It can prevent new direct/private contact, hide an existing direct conversation, suppress ordinary team-chat messages from the blocked person for the blocker, and reduce related notifications.

Blocking does not remove either person from a season, change a gymnast's official team association, cancel an RSVP on behalf of a gymnast, hide official team records, hide system messages, hide coach announcements, or automatically hide training notes. Team owners and authorized administrators may still need to communicate official operational information.

Blocked users can be reviewed and unblocked under Settings → Safety → Blocked Users.

Media access, downloads, and storage

ReelSports uses authenticated access for team media. Viewing a photo or video inside the app does not mean a user has permission to redistribute it outside the team.

General download rights are more restricted than playback rights. Owners, Admins, Coaches, Parents, and Management users can download applicable team media. The original uploader and storage owner may also retain download rights. Gymnast and Supporter roles do not receive general download permission solely because of their role.

Owners/Admins may be able to transfer at-risk team media to another ReelSports storage account. Transfers and downloads should be used only for legitimate team purposes and with appropriate permission from the people depicted.

How moderation works

Owners, admins, coaches, and management users may review appropriate reports for their season. App moderators may review escalated reports, reports involving a season owner, serious child-safety or threat reports, and profile-level concerns. A person who is the subject of a report cannot review or resolve that report.

Depending on the report and moderator permissions, possible actions include:

Users may contact Safety Support if they believe a moderation decision was made in error.

Report, evidence, and deletion retention

A safety report may contain a limited snapshot of reported content so the concern can be reviewed even if visible content later changes. Moderation decisions are logged for safety, audit, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

After account deletion, retained safety reports may be anonymized rather than immediately deleted. Quota-managed media that still uses the deleting account's ReelSports storage is removed by the current account-deletion workflow, while media successfully transferred to another storage owner beforehand may remain with the team. A Season Owner's permanent season deletion removes active season media and season records, subject to restricted safety/audit retention and provider recovery systems.

See the Privacy Policy's retention, storage, and account-deletion section for more information.
